Life is full of moments of waiting. Waiting for your doctor to see you at your appointment, waiting for traffic on your way to or from work, or waiting to catch a flight to your next destination. No matter where it is, it can get pretty boring to say the least. Why not take advantage of that time not being used, to learn something? Whether you get a hard copy, an ebook or an audiobook, I’ve found that you can discover a lot of new information in a short amount of time, if you take advantage of these moments in your daily life. So you want to travel the country or maybe even the world, but you don’t know where to start. You don’t know how to find a place to stay away from home, you don’t know how you’re going to safely find your way around a place you’ve never been, and not end up on the wrong side of town. It may all seem scary when thinking about all of the unknowns when going somewhere new for the first time. It may even be scary enough for you to put those plans in a box and throw it in the storage room in your head and tell yourself, “I’ll get to it one day, when I have more money or more life experience,” but as you know, those are just excuses. Fear is the biggest obstacle that is preventing you from attaining a very achievable goal. One of my favorite places in this city was the The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Palazzo. This little corner of Vegas brought back nostalgia for my travels in Italy. The artists who erected this shopping mall were able to intricately capture the true essence of Venice; from the baroque architecture to the emphatic singing of the gondoliers, heard throughout the halls.
